What is a profile?
A profile is an account on Hidaya Online Donation System where you can login to make your donation. By creating a profile you save time every time you donate. You can create your own profile during your first donation. It is free and will make your online donation experience easy, secure and fast. You can store your personal details like your name, mailing address, phone number and email address in your profile. You can change profile information at any time after you are logged in. You may optionally store your bank checking account or credit card information in your profile. This information is encrypted in our database and only you can access it after logging in. Your profile retains the history of your past online donations and gives you easy options to donate again.
How do I create my profile?
You can create your profile during your first online donation session. Select your donation categories and add them to your cart. Continue to the next step and fill in your personal information. You will use your email address along with your selected password to login. Make sure you enter a valid email address. Enable creating a profile (default), enter a password, and complete your payment information. After donating, you may receive a confirmation email — follow any activation instructions. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, contact us at mail@hidaya.org with your registration details.
How do I login to my profile?
Click Login from the top menu. Enter your email address and password (or use email OTP). If the credentials match and your profile is active, you will be signed in and redirected to your profile. The top menu will then show profile-related links.
How do I donate?
Donating online is a multi-step process. If you already have a profile, login from the top menu. Otherwise you can create a profile during checkout.
- Select the donation categories you would like to support and add them to your cart. You can remove items from the cart at any time.
- Enter or confirm your personal information and payment method. Logged-in users can use a saved payment method or add a new one.
- Review your donation details and submit once. Processing may take a few seconds. If successful, you will see a confirmation and typically receive an email with donation details. If there was an error, verify your payment details and try again.
What is Quick Donate?
Quick Donate is the fastest way to donate when you have a profile with at least one saved payment method. Login first, select your donations, and use Quick Donate when available. If you have multiple payment methods, your default method is used. You can change the default anytime from My Profile.
What if I have not received my email confirmation yet?
Successful donations typically send email from edonations@hidaya.org. Check spam or junk folders and add that address to your allow list. If you did not get a confirmation number on screen during donation, the payment may have failed. Contact mail@hidaya.org with your donation details for help.
Where can I find the CVV number on my Credit Card?
The CVV is a 3 or 4-digit number that is not part of the credit card number. On Visa or Mastercard it is typically a 3-digit number printed on the back (usually in the signature field). For American Express it is a 4-digit number on the front of the card, above and to the right of the main card number.
Where can I find bank routing and account number on my Check leaf?
The routing number is the 9-digit number at the bottom of a U.S. check (typically between the special routing symbols). Hidaya Online Donation System does not accept checks issued by banks outside the USA.
Why Check is preferred over Credit Card?
Check / eCheck transactions typically cost only about 30 cents regardless of amount. Credit card fees are around 3% of the donation amount (debit cards are often processed as credit cards too). Be careful with Zakat donations on credit cards so fees are covered, and avoid interest by missing card payments, as interest is forbidden.
Can I use my PayPal account to donate online?
At this time Hidaya Online Donation System does not support PayPal. You may save a checking account or credit card in your profile for future donations. We assure a high level of privacy and security for your sensitive data.
Can I generate receipt for my online donations?
Once logged in, open your profile and review Donation History for past donations and receipts. You can expand a donation for line-item details. For tax purposes, keep records of your donation confirmations and receipts.
How do I update my profile information?
After login, open My Profile. You can edit personal details such as address and phone. You can also add, edit, or remove payment methods from the Payment Methods section.
How do I change my password?
Sign in, open My Profile, and use the Password section. Choose Change password and enter your current password plus a new one. If you only ever signed in with email OTP and never set a password, use Set new password instead.
How do I reset my password?
On the login window, click Forgot password? Enter your registered email to receive a 6-digit code (valid 10 minutes), then enter the code and your new password. You can also open /forgot-password directly.
Known Issues
Some browsers may show a resend/retry warning during login. Click Resend or Retry to complete login. Any donations selected before login may be added again — remove duplicates as needed.
If changing from a non-U.S. address to a U.S. address fails, email mail@hidaya.org your new U.S. address and we can update it for you.
